Huge loss for the Trojans now the depth is big issue for USC.
Such a shame. Really feel bad for the kid as he was getting a real chance to hit the field. This was a non contact injury right?
Sad new. I hope Tre Madden is back healthy next season. How long is the recovery time? I think USC needs to move Jaheel Pinner to running back.
The depth chart now looks like this:
Foster Red Shirt Soph
Allen Red Shirt Frosh
Agholor True Frosh
Pinner True Frosh
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
Who is Foster?
Heartbreaking....Tre was just starting to find his way at runningback.... hope he keeps his head up and blows up next year...FIGHT ON!
will never be the same potential running back again

DJ morgan really recovered quickly from his acl tears, as did Patrick Hall.. oh wait no they didnt.
at least madden is on campus and in program so his recovery should be aided by that.
Madden would almost be better off moving back to LB in the future.
also huge blow to special teams, as madden was a great ST player.
This is the exact way the depth chart looked about two weeks ago, just food for thought for those who think we're infinitely worse now at tailback.
The most important thing is TM's recovery, Let's focus on that.
Kiffin and Co. haven't brought us this far without a plan to address the inevitable injuries that will occur. Trust.
Fight on, Tre Madden!!!
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
I had a bad feeling when I read about him going down without contact yesterday.
Hopefully he fully recovers.
On the field this year, it definitely sucks to lose a "big back" option.
But the real key is Moody staying healthy.
NA will most likely come in for obviuos passig situations, while Morgan will need to give Moody a breather and one of Allen or Pinner will need to step up and be the big back to pound the ball in certain situations.
Morgan better learn to hold onto the football. SC should have a lot of big 4th quarter leads, and Moody should be resting on the sideline not taking needless hits while the other guys grind out the clock.
Really thought Madden was going to be a star at RB the way people were describing him at practice, however, I think you have to move Madden back to LB now given his inexperience at RB and the explosiveness required to play LB vs RB.
talked to my friend on the team who witnessed it happen. apparently madden was trying to make a cut when his knee just buckled. said it was a freak accident. hope he recovers fast.
ACL repairs/replacement take a while to recover from, but today's procedures make them almost routine. Expect Madden to come back strong for next year! Fight On Madden!
Tommy, Rebel, and our newest rescue Harley!
I expect Madden back next year, but I believe it really takes 2 full years for players to regain 100% of their explosiveness. He is way behind on RB experience and he won't be able to gain on the field practice experience during his RS year. A move back to LB makes more sense.
What about Tony Burnett? He has a body like Tre Madden and why keep his speed on the sidelines? We can use him like we tried to use #2 last year
Damn shame for Tre, comes from a great family and is a hard working kid. He could be the biggest freak from that 2011 class IMO. I wish him well
Except that we were in bad shape at RB then. Now we are back to being in bad shape for RB depth.
not really. not a whole lot of depth, but we have mcneal and morgan as experienced guys, plus Allen as a power back. And then we have Nelson A coming in along with Jahleel Pinner. That's 5 guys that can play running back for us next year. For a team on sanctions and with our Lack of depth that's actually not terrible. Yes experience is lacking, but I'm not gonna sit around worrying about something that can't be fixed in an off season.

Agree 100%. I'm not gonna mention names, but wasn't there a true freshman RB in Eugene that made an immediate impact last season for the Ducks? It can happen. That's why I wanted Nelson A. so badly. Big opportunities for that young man... early.
The offense will still have so many weapons and options for different sets and this will help keep defenses off balance. SC will be fine at RB as long as the Oline does what is expected of them.
Keep in mind also that prior to the beginning of LAST season we only had two experienced guys (Tyler and Mcneal) and behind them we had a redshirt freshman that was coming off an injury (Morgan) and two true freshman (Carlisle and Allen). There were only 5 guys there until Farmer moved over mid season
