"This will probably be the most difficult (senior class to depart) because this didn't work out the way everyone hoped.'' -- Lane Kiffin. Fuck the NCAA
I don't think 4 losses are on the NCAA. Sorry.
"Dude looks like a friggin rock star" - TrojanWarrior1 on Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
So you don't think two year bowl ban and maybe a BCS birth last year are the NCAA fault?
That's not a matter of debate. That's practical. But I think Kiffin's comment spoke to this year, not the cumulative career of the seniors.
10 less 4/5 star players on the roster this year = NCAA's fault
That's your opinion
I have been infuriated at times w/ CLK (as evident of my star rating after a remark during the 1st half of the ASU game) that being said he has had to work with sanctions that as we all no were so unfair it bears no re explaining.

We're down 10 players. Hard to measure exactly how that has an impact, but I'm thinking it does. And we have two more years of ten fewer players. How could this not have an effect?

It effects us for sure. But it does not excuse penalties, bad play calling, interceptions and fumbles.
LSU played with 74 schollie players this year and are playing well. -10 hurts, but we still have around 75 kids. So it's on lane that we look bad.
That said, I feel for this senior class too bc we would have been bcs bowling last year
I agree. And it sucks.
But that is still no excuse for the HC. He is paid millions to do better under our circumstances. We can pay some coach much less and get the same result. I understand the hit of the sanctions, but it is not an absolute excuse on our performance. Partially on sanction, but more on the HC and staff
1 Disagree. The results of the sanctions forced USC to go to a no tackling policy at practice. If you don't practice at full speed, your timing, tackling and overall judgement is off.
There's a direct correlation between practice habits and game performance.
2 LSU didn't start with 74 players. They ended up with that many. Big difference.
I don't think anyone is as openly vocal about the existing state of affairs than I, with respect to the Kiffins and Cregg. However, after some time to employ one's mind rationally and objectively in evaluating or dealing with the status quo, I am reminded that we ventured into this 'marriage' of our own volition, no threat of coercion, and fully aware of the rough seas ahead.
With that said, Trojan Family, I implore you, please let us agree with the coach this once and support this senior class and stop looking for someone to hang. These kids have endured/faced insuperable difficulties for school, pride, fans to not deserve our appreciation and reverence going forward.
After the season, all bets are off...so I'll direct you to the follow sales in preparation for an interesting off season

I love it, a post with a strong message free of finger pointing, accusations, name calling, criticism and angry argument.
Even with sanctions u can hold practices with some contact. Yes there is a correlation, but with different leadership, or with the same leader but a different approach to leadership, we could have performed better on the field, even with the sanctions.
