I am a huge Trojan fan and always will be, tonight's results were disappointing no doubt. However, there is still hope and if we win every upcoming game plus the conference championship game, we could put ourselves back into the title game discussion. I think we had three problems tonight, our defense is not built to handle those strong running teams, perhaps we should recruit a combination of players that are good at stopping power run plays and players that are good at stopping spread offenses. Our o-line did not provide good protection. Perhaps if Khaled Holmes had been able to play, the results might have been different. While I think Cyrus Hobbi was not ready to be the center tonight, I do not feel we should tear him down, since he has hardly any game experience playing center. The third thing to ask is weather Lane Kiffin Coached as well as he could have or if he did not do a good job. Our goal now should be to make a BCS bowl, anything less would be a major disappointment and then I think Lane should be on the hot seat if that were to happen. What does everyone think?
Lane won't be on the hot seat as long as the scholarship restrictions are in place.
Agreed. Also, a BCS appearance seems like a long shot.
You think even if we won every game from here on out, we would not make it to the rose bowl?
Of course we would. However, based on what I saw tonight that seems unlikely.
I'll be happy with the Alamo or Holiday Bowl this year.
