I know just about all USC fans want Stanford to win--while all of our Duck friends want UCLA--but who do you think will win?
If Stanford wins, the same two teams play one week later. Does Stanford win that one as well, or does UCLA get the best of them, since "it's hard to beat the same team twice"?
Being that both my parents are Stanford grads, I want Stanford from the family tie aspect, along with the fact I relish any day the Ruins lose.
I think Stanford's the better team, but I also considered the Trojans a better team yesterday, as well as Oregon being a better team at 5:00pm last night, too.
I am beyond impressed at how Shaw has continued to develop that program from the trenches....out. With the linemen they've recruited the last two years, they will only get better. I think 1USCTrojan said that they are now the Gold standard in the Pac 12.
That defense is the best in the Pac - they tackle well, are disciplined and just play solid, fundamental football.
Watching them last night was impressive.
Both teams are coming off big wins but Stanford has more to lose in the game. Given how often teams lose the week after beating SC, I think Stanford takes it.
I will always root for the bRuins to lose. I don't care if they are the only team from the Pac-12 in a BCS game, bowl game, whatever.
I want Stanford to embarass them two weeks in a row.
Since UCLA has the south wrapped up, who would they rather play in the CCG? If they feel they'd have a better shot against Stanford, perhaps we'll see them "go easy" next weekend? Instead of saying they intentionally tanked the game, they could just say they wanted to rest their starters for the PAC-12 championship game.
After watching Franklin do his stupid little throat slashing gesture yesterday, I hope Stanford beats that turd up and down the field. I wouldn't mind if someone plants his little ass up into the 3rd row of the bleachers. What an idiot.
If stanford were to win next week wouldnt they have the home game in the CCG ,home field is a big advantage ,but if UCLA wins ,it looks like they play the Ducks
Stanford in a double dip! That front seven will carve up the utla offensive line.
Stanford vs nebraska in the Rose Bowl.
Stanford will win. Handily. Did you watch the game yesterday? TOUGHNESS and TACKLING. It's all they do. From where I'm sitting, USC is the school of soft "nerds" while Stanford is the school of tough, hard-hitting (and arguably smarter) "jocks".
Painful to write that, but it's the truth.
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
Stanford will win. Screw the Ruins. I do not like either team. Spirit, you are spot on. We went after skilled positions but did not go to what made us truly great.....tough smash mouthed players. We did not exploit our "skilled" players by using man on man offense when the zone coverage failed.
Honestly, I think Oregon is better off if they don't play in the PAC-12CG. If they win and Stanford wins, then Stanford goes on to win the PAC-12, they will be fine in the computers.
All Oregon needs is for us to beat Notre Dame, and for FSU to beat Florida (FSU beating UF is not 100% necessary though, but would probably have to happen).
IF we beat Notre Dame, that helps Oregon a bunch in the computers as that gives pretty much the entire conference a small boost.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
Stanford. No question for me. Sorry nephew, love you - baby blue and all....but, your school sucks.

Why better off? If Notre Dame loses to SC, the Irish could get the nod over Oregon, as they'll still have a better resume. They beat Stanford, so if Stanford wins the Pac, that looks good for them.
nope. Notre Dame will plummet in the human polls with a loss. Pollsters are itching to drop this team, too many close games with teams like Pitt and BYU.
8 all day!
If your not 1st your last!
How far can they plummet though? After the conference championship games, there will be very few one-loss teams out there.
In any case, I still don't see how it would be better for Oregon to not play.
The LOS is all Stanford and they will succeed in caving in the Ruins Oline. Along with the defense that Stanford brings with aggressiveness and this one will be all Stanford. It starts and ends in the trenches.
It will only matter if FLorida beats Florida St.
