According to CFL Redd will announce his decision tomorrow of his intentions.

Hmmm, don't know why he would "announce" a decision to stay at Penn State. Sounds like a good kid, not an attention grabbing guy.
"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
Matt Barkley ;-)
I know, different scenarios though.
Agree, but if he does stay, it is a defining moment for the post-scandal Penn State program.
I don't think he would announce he was staying for himself, but possibly for his teammates, program, and fans.
Why didn't you let me live in my little delusional world?
I'm with ya!
My only concern is if O'Brien manages to changes his mind tomorrow in their meeting. As of right now, given what we know info-wise and now this, I think he's ours to lose.
O'Brien didn't recruit him. In fact, I'm not sure that there's much of a relationship between the two of them at all.
Very true, and that's an underrated dynamic in all of this - O'Brien isn't the coach he signed up to play for.
Meant it more from the standpoint of O'Brien being a persuasive dude (in regards to keeping their recruits on board) and him possibly selling him on staying during their talk. Which I think is unlikely, but I'm not dismissing it as a possibility.
Hmm. I know the info we've been fed but the fact he's having an announcent scares me. If he announces that he's leaving, his school and town would pretty much kill him for it if it's a big public thing. If he was coming i think he would just do it. I hope he comes though but not sure what the signs are pointing too.

On a second look, this does not seem like good news for us.
If he is driving to State College, PA from his home (presumably still Norwalk, CT) tomorrow...that's a 5 hour drive. I would also assume he has belongings at PSU that would need to be packed up and moved.
If you're announcing you're transferring, I don't think you hold a press conference in the small college town that you're leaving...and you certainly don't spend the night there.
If it was Wednesday, I'd say he was ours. But if he's driving and announcing tomorrow...I don't think it looks good for us.
I haven't seen anything saying he is having a press conference or anything with publicity attached. For all we know, he will just leak it to sources and it will spread via twitter. Scott told us that a final decision would be made on Tuesday.
I don't envy what Silas will be walking into tomorrow.
A tweet from the PSU wrestling coach to Silas:
"@MomentOfSilas25 NFL stock goes way up if u stay. Any smart organization takes a great &loyal team player over a great player#Truth #WeAre!!"

Despite what you may have read the people of State College aren't an angry mob with pitchforks waiting for the next riot. If Silas says he's a Trojan hell be fine around town.
That said, I don't know what to think about this. He's meeting with O'Brien and going to PSU to do it. It seems like a long way to go to say he's out. Silas is a great guy though, so I think he would tell BOB to his face. BOB has been great through this, so I'm not going to sell him short, but considering everything through this has gone completely against PSU I'm going to guess he's a Trojan.
Would love to have him but def. not going to be mad at the kid for staying. I actually think it would be cool if he stayed. It would mean a lot for their program. That being said i hope he makes the trip out and joins us
You guys are ridiculous. It is obviously where this is going.
He is going to be playing for SC next year. He just spent the better part of a week with your coaches and players, both in LA and in his home. It was over the moment he got on the plane for California.
Congrats. He is a great one.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
Tough decision for him, still probably hasn't made it fully yet. I do not think he would go out to USC if he wasn't at least interested. Now that the 2013 class is done this will be the most tense moment on here until Feb 2nd.
Hoping he makes the right choice for him.

Obviously a very, very tough choice for the young man.
A. Stand by your teammates, and friends through tough adverse times
B. Transfer to a school and have a realistic chance of achieving a personal dream of winning a national championship.
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
No. Most tense moment until our games start. In season emotions trump off-season recruiting by about 1000x.
Exactly. I think the word "announce" got people automatically thinking of a press conference. I'm sure that word was probably thrown out there by whoever broke the story.
To be fair, nobody is saying it's a televised announcement. He does need to announce it one way or the other. He may just be meeting with O'Brian to give him the decision, call Kiffin to tell him, then tell Joe Schad to let him announce it to the public, or something along those lines.
There's no indication that he's making it a big deal. The big deal is being made by others (fans & media). Neither he nor his family have been making public or quoted statements thus far.
"You can't sanction heart and you can't sanction the will to win." -Matt Barkley-
Hmmm....OK then....I stand corrected.
Wake up early and drive to PSU, meet with coach, pack up belongings, and release story on the way out of town. That could work.
I guess we'll know in 24 hours!
USC fans thinking he's staying, PSU fans thinking he's leaving. Watch him announce for some random other school or just say fuck it, I'm going to the CFL for a year.
You have to forgive us, the last fanbase that was upset at us, rioted, burned couches, threatened a young mother and her children, and flooded our message boards acting like douches for over a whole year after the "incident."
*IF* he's having a press conference in State College, then game over -- he's staying at PSU.
If you first hear any real news about this in the Twitter world, then he's transfering to USC.
TRUTH. Up vote for you, my darling.
Sounds like Emmert needs to sanction them to change their "culture". :-)
