What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.--Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
He transferred there a few months back.
If his play at ECCC was any indication... dude might be hard pressed to see the field.
He was horrible at ECC, I saw it firsthand. The guy is not a qb.
The statistics alone are deplorable. What does RichRod see in Scroggins?
A spare QB.
I hope the kid gets his degree.
I feel sorry for Arizona.
He lived at my apartment building in 2011, I think. Talked to him a few times. He seemed kinda down, but seemed to care about USC. Hopefully he ends up doing alright.
USC 2013-2014 All Sports Head-to-Head Record: 236-103-2 (0.695)
My USC Football Attendance Streak (Home and Away): 48
I could see him doing well in a read option or quick pass offense
I hope he rises up and eventually shines. Want nothing but the best for the kid. When he signed, I was hoping he'd be our next QB. Bummer, man.
Good luck, JS.
He is less mobile than John David Booty or Matt Barkley.
Scroggins would be a disaster in an offense that runs a lot of read option type plays.
So true. It seems like some posters think he can run and would do well in that offense just because he is black.

His ability to run and that is what RR is looking for.
Lets also remember that sometimes you become the environment that you are around. I can remember not that long ago that many were talking Jesse to start over Matt after watching him perform in the spring game a few years ago. My what time can do?
That is gross hyperbole
I thInk he fits in well there
I hope Jesse does well he seemed stressed and unhappy after getting to USC.
Contrary to conventional thinking Jesse is a black QB who passes first and runs second.
He can run well when he has to, but he is primarily a passer. Strong arm.
I am curious as to how Rich Rod uses Jesse, I can't see Jesse being a runner first: just my opinion.
If Rich modifies his offense to allow for more passing then it will be a better fit for Jesse from what I have seen of him HS primarily. I did not see him at El Camino and I am surprised at his issues there. Was it an option offense that Jesse struggled with at El Camino? I have no clue as to what the offense is at El Camino JC.

Good ole' fashion stereotypes never seem to die do they
I can't wait for the day we get a white WR who can run a 4.3... and have posters question his speed and classify him as a "possession" WR.
Spring games don't mean squat.
Rocky Hinds also beat out JDB in a spring game once. The former ended up being a non-factor at UNLV while the later (despite being mediocre at the worst possible times) won Rose Bowls.
Dillon Baxter looked like the next big thing at RB after his "run" went viral on youtube. We all know how that one ended.
I coached against Rocky Hinds when he was in high school. When I later read that he had even been offered by USC, I was baffled. Hinds got hurt in a scrimmage against Redondo Union High a week before the season started. The team became better without Hinds because they were forced to focus on running the ball.
During his junior year against the team I coached, Hinds had a chance to run the ball in for a TD to win the game on 4th down. He saw my 5'5" CB (I'm not kidding. The kid was 5'5") and slid 3 yards short of the end zone.
El Camino runs what some could consider being a hybrid between a pro-style and a "multiple" style of offense.
Surprised Jesse struggled so much.
I am not sure Arizona is a better fit for him.
I always supported him as you know, he seems to be a mystery wrapped in an enigma at this time, actually for awhile now it seems.
I hope he can get things on the right track I still feel he has D1 talent if in the right system and with him getting his academics together.
