Packer Report @PackerReport 19m
Source close to Robert Woods says he owes "big time" thank you to Barkley's ripfest of Kifin. From fringe R-1 to perhaps before GB at 26.

I haven't been doing this "for forever" but damndest thing: One simple quote this close to draft really shook things up.
Packer Report @PackerReport 14m
@rcon14 Barkley said Kiffin misused Woods. Suddenly scouts had better idea why he went from 111 catches to 76.

On Robert Woods: clean routes, strong hands, competitive guy that wants the ball. More thoughts here: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/08/robert-woods-scouting-report.html …

Thanks for sharing ...
Anybody that watched the season should be able to tell that. everything was targeting lee. he's amazing, but we did have other talent out there. Throw it to woods! and can i get a TE pass please??
and one more thing.
GOOD LUCK tomorrow Mr. Woods!!!!!!
Little different than what those douche holes at bleacher report wrote.
If true, those are some dumb fucking scouts.
I'm hoping Woods goes in the 1st round, but I'm also skeptical of a guy who has Landry Jones listed as a guy who might "slide into the 1st round."
what's jones' deal? how'd he drop down so far? I thought he was expected to be on the of the top qbs in this class..
Seriously. Thats a joke if Barkley had to say that stuff for them to realize it. What are they getting paid for then?
The tweets are from different people.
Ummmmm, folks. Force feeding the ball to Marqise was the best thing Kiffin came up with all year. Matt should issue Lane a public apology.....POST HASTE!
But like always, if the QB has measureables are there, some team will take a chance and develop him...
Good question, he had a pretty good year. He had his highest completion % while at Oklahoma, as well as his highest QB rating. Threw 30 TDs to only 11 interceptions. Everyone is talking about how it's a down year for QBs, so maybe that's why Jones -- a name we haven't heard much, for whatever reason -- is now being mentioned as a possible 1st rounder?
Doesn't Oklahoma shotgun the snap every play? Perhaps that's why he's not being hyped -- scouts don't think he'd be good under center? Idk, just a guess.
For all the stink about Todd McShay's blathering, I was skipping through ESPN and the other day and another commentator (not sure who it was) gave one of the best endorsements I've seen anyone give a college player to Robert Woods. A lot of people really, really like him.
So scouts had to listen to Barkley to make a huge decision? All they had to do was turn the tape on and trust your eyes.
With that said send him to Minny!!!!
Agree 100% what in the Heck are they getting paid for?
With that said send him to Green Bay!!!

If NFL GMs couldn't figure out that Woods was ignored and misused last year before Barkley said it, they have bigger issues.
Exactly! All you have to do is watch a few games to realize that woods was not used like he was the previous year.
I was under the impression that Woods missed a good deal of practice, both before and during the season due to ongoing issues with his ankle. I recall reading analysis after the first few games of the season showing targets of Woods and Lee as essentially equal, but with Lee making half again as many catches. I got the impression that Woods had an off year, relatively, because he and Barkley were never really in sync. As the season wore on, Lee got a disproportionate number of targets, but part of that was justified based on his higher productivity per target.
Nothing against Woods, but I think that claiming that his relative drop in productivity was all or mostly because Kiffin just liked Lee better is kind of ridiculous.
As much as I would love Woods on the Packers, WR is one of the last positions of need even with Jennings leaving.
Woods to the Rrrraiderrrs!!!!
I go along with this line of thinking. It's way too simplistic to just lay it all at Kiffin's feet, because the fact of the matter is that while Lee may have been the 1st read on a good number of the plays, it was still up to Barkley to actually read the defense and deliver the ball. The best example of that was the first play of the UCLA game. Barkley knew where he wanted to go with the ball before the it was even snapped, and of course they jumped the route with 3 guys while Woods is running alone down the sideline. That was a sh*tty read by Barkley, not a bad play from Kiffin.
Here is the soundtrack.
Decide for yourselves what Robert meant to say. It is a bit twisted to me. Robert starts in one direction then doubles back.
The sky is blue....
