Its both but more players then coach.. We might be one of the fastest defense but we don't play fast whats the use of having that speed if we are going to sit in soft zone. But the reason for the soft zone is maybe because the players haven't proved they are capable of playing faster assignment football.
its both, the players and the coaching. the players have to be able to execute the scheme correctly and are the ones making the plays on the field. however, if the scheme is a bad setup from the get-go or fails to make adjustments to the opposing offense, it falls just as much on the one coaching the scheme.
I think you're cherry picking the facts to support your view. All I was pointing out was that every year the new class coming in is the shiny new toy and everyone thinks so and so guy is going to be the man and change everything. Some guys do come in and live up to expectations, but a lot just don't. Same thing happens every year. For every Leonard Williams (who pushed CLK recruit Woods to the bench by shaking things up) and Max Tuerk (who replaced CLK recruit Walker btw) I can offer you a Taylor Mays, a Brian Cushing, etc. Regardless, let's not act like this has never happened before or that it won't continue to happen. Sometimes young guys come in and establish themselves early.

Oh Brother you can dance
Not gonna let you get away with it SuzieCreamCheese
Last week when you were screaming for Lane's Head and saying it was his total ineptitude as a play caller that lost the game, myself and TDub and others tried to inject some fucking reality into the Replace Lane as OC madness by saying that maybe the penalties, interceptions and soft defense might have had an eensy weensy part in it and you said that was Lane's fault too
THAT is when myself and others, including Scott and some of the players said NO it is more on the players
But nice try at revisionist history there SkipperDon
Last week the team failed at every level. Lane's playcalling can be erratic so I'd still like to see him step down as OC. I however don't advocate him being fired. I never once screamed for Lane's head you're lying. His father is an even worse offender so he needs to go. My stance has never changed try again.
We have had a lot more hits than misses with this current staff, especially in comparison to Pete's last few classes
I realize there is some overlap too, like with the players from Lane's first class
Also Atwuan Woods was most definitely a Pete Carroll recruit
He was offered his junior year and was a regular at practices when he could get down there
Wow is all I can say
Auburn and Ohio State?
