Says Lane knows he has a big problem. His dad's scheme doesn't work and he has to either change the scheme or fire his dad.
It's really sad but something has to be done.
Monte can always "step down", perhaps he wants to spend more time with his family now.
The scary part is who would he hire?
I'm sure he would hire who haden told him to hire. Big question is, who would haden hire?

They'll have to come up with a different "reason," because when he's coaching, he is spending time with his family haha.
Tyrone Willinghams cousin? LOL. Nah.
Could probably hook up a playstation and have NCAA Football 2013 call our defensive plays with as much success. They can also put random plays in a hat, draw straws or flip coins. ANYTHING!
Monte definitely needs to step down and spend more time with the family.
I'm willing to try anyone/anything at this point. The fact is, if we can't stop Oregon than we're not winning any titles, so we need to figure out how to do that, on a consistent basis. They aren't going anywhere. This defensive showing was extremely embarrassing regardless of if you want to play the bad tackling card or the Monte needs to go card.
It didn't seem to me the Oregon D was much better but they did tackle when the opportunity was there.
Before you fire someone a plan should be in place as to who is a better replacement, just mho.
I'd laugh at this if I didnt think it was pretty much right on point.
Oregon's D wasn't much better. That's not the point.
Besides that, as bad as their D was, it was still somewhat better than our D. That's saying something.
Which reporter solicited the response or did Lane just make the comment before the question was asked? There is a reason for my question.
Orgeron could be a good dc. Would hire Mike stoops but he isn't available. Joe Barry would be great but I don't think he will be back
Winning the academic award in the SEC is sort of like winning the special olympics. Even if you win, you are still a retard.
Both offenses were on fire tonight. Oregon shutout arizona a couple weeks ago. No team had come close to doing what USC did to the Duck defense.
I'm not saying that a different dc couldn't help utilize the talent that you guys have but keep in mind that Oregon's offense only scored a couple more points than their season average tonight. And that was with keeping the starters in the entire game, a first this year.
I'm not sure, but they asked kiffin what he thought about the defense and he said he has no answers for him, and if he knew how to fix the defense he would have during the last two games. It may have been the very abc reporter who was reporting it but I can't be sure.
I like Ed and I am not saying this to be negative or dis him, but does he really want the leadership of the D or does he function better as the DL coach, motivator and super recruiter?
The reason I asked is because I had an opportunity to ask the CBS reporter to ask that very question when she got in there for the Q & A session. My exact question, "Ask Lane when he is firing his dad."
If the USC defense tackled and I mean wrap up, the Ducks would NOT have have 9 out of 10 scoring drives, more like 5 out of 10 IMO from what I saw.
How does the tackling improve?
IMO ... tackle in practice.
But, my opinion is worth the electrons in this post ...
I thought I was watching NCAA 2013 with all the sliders turned down LOL.
i went back on dvr, it was a male reporter who asked the question...
Coach O as the defensive coordinator and Coach Lupoi to coach the DL
Are you guys sure about this?
No I'm talking out of my ass. But a change needs to be made. The defense has been a problem almost all season. The way Colorado moved the ball on the defense I know it was trouble
Nah Blem will tell you that it's not Monte's fault.
