I have heard it both ways, Matt pronounced it Aguilar ... Great kid, very talented, expect to hear this name a lot.
I've heard it both ways so I blend the two.
PREP NOT HYPE
Fight On and You'll Never Walk Alone
An anglicisation of Aguilar would make sense. I've never seen that name before.
I saw him in a video with Matt going over the Stanford game and breaking down Nelson's play.
Matt is so impressive with the way he gets along with the other players.
He was asking Nelson what he was thinking pre-snap and Nelson told him that he was going to take the "hot" route with the Cardinals in blitz formation and Matt's audible for the slant route over the middle ... two step draw and Nelson was off to the races.
Nelson is such a great kid and his talent is Marqise and Robert like.
Anyway, Matt called him Nelson "Aguilar" while the game announcers went with Agolor ...
Penguin could have the right idea, blend the two.
Ya, Rabbit it is different, my first time seeing that name as well.
Straight from the horse's mouth...
Nelson Agholor @NelsonAgh15
I'm old and so not much into Twitter of Facebook.
Is this a Twitter response from Nelson in response to your Twittering him or is he reading this board?
That is his responding to me asking him on twitter...
Dayum ... I am so out of it ... wow ... I am impressed.
Matt was mispronouncing his name with Nelson sitting right next to him.
Can you ask him why Matt was saying Aguilar in Barkley's Corner Stanford game review?
Haha...well, I don't know him well enough to get into that conversation with him and I don't want to be an obnoxious tweeter...
I think my services end at asking for the pronunciation...I also was interested in knowing the answer because my brother and I were discussing it at the game yesterday.
Thanks Steve for clearing that up ...
I suspect Nelson is so accustomed to two different versions of his name that he just goes along with it.
agh-o-lor makes the most sense to me.
I never understood the Aguilar version from Agholor.
Almost forgot ... up vote for you
