The Jets have given up 11 sacks today. Eleven!!!!
I started SD defense for my fantasy championship.
No one would have been sucessful behind that line ...
"It's what a brother would do for another brother"
Still trying to make an excuse for Sanchez. When given time,Sanchez shouldn't be a starting QB in the league.
Jets are gonna need a QB that can run for his life or is big and can take a ton of hits, because that line couldn't block a grocery cart coming down hill

sooooo, i guess this means that it's not all on Sanchez.
i am a J E T S fan since about 63/64 and i don't care who the QB is. this is on the GM and Ryan's "defense first" mentality. he thinks his team just needs to score 9 points on "O" and then rely the the "D" to win games. way too many Mannings,Bradys and Breezeeseses in the league to get away with that.
Ryan doesn't like his starting QB to run around..... remember Sanchez got in trouble for running for a first down a year or two ago.
You mean the play where he dove instead of slid and banged up his knee
no, but i remember that one. i'm talkin even back in to '09 when he ran for a TD, but it was a headfirst dive. Sanchez got beat up pretty good last year in Oct./Nov. even when he stayed in the backfield.
What QB can thrive when your line gives up 50 sacks in a season with one game to go.
I love how Greg McElroy and Brady Quinn suck as backups to the Trojan quarterbacks that so much of America hated. Not that Mark Sanchez and Matt Cassel are so great but they did have the worst weapons in the league.

I disagree ...a horrible offensive line combined with no receivers and a terrible OC would make Peyton Manning look bad....
Sanchez had an OL and WR'S in his second and third yr ,and stunk up the joint.
In year 2 when Sanchez had real players around him he did pretty good.
In the playoffs winning on the road vs Indy with his clutch 4th qtr plays.
On the road vs the best team in the NFL, beat NE
Then outplaying Big Ben @ Pitt in the AFC championship game, but losing in the end.
Stunk up the joint? Uuuhhhh
3rd year? He did NOT have a good Oline, that was the 1st year they dismantled that team.
You know what Sanchez had for a running game? Shit WR core with his ONLY threat being the biggest cancer in the NFL?
Do people not remember?
"From uptown, downtown, in town, out of town! We got it going on, it's famous baby, here we go!"
My God! 11 Sacks...
Tous pour un, un pour tous
What are you talking about?
Mark had hus best year in 2010
Look at his low passing percentage in yr two and three. The Jets were successful because of their NFL leading ground game and top ranked defednse.
and only 3 sacks in 6 playoff games. like i said before, i'ma longtime Jets fan, i don't care who the QB is but Sanchez aint really the problem.
You can blame this mess on Tannebaum and Ryan. They haven't drafted well on offense or at all. They need to completely fix that oline. And bring in some receivers. And their defense is getting old.
AGAIN, AS LONG AS WOODY JOHNSON is writing the checks for The Jets, there will be no O-Line to speak of. I'm out here in NJ now and people are so down about both the Jets and Giants it's...well, I find it hysterical!
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
I'd been waiting eagerly for the day they would bench Sanchez... so people would see what happens to the other guy. It came to pass in even greater glory than I'd predicted.
I'm missing the numbers on how many Jets draft picks in past years have been offensive players, but I've seen them recently and they're quite appalling.
Sanchez sure, Cassel not even close.
Absolutely. IN classic Ryan fashion, they know nothing about Offense. (Other than how to stop it.) So they don't trust anybody competent to run it.
Mike Nolan did the same thing with Alex Smith.
Do Not hire a Ryan as your head coach. They are know it alls. who don't.
