In contrast, chipper was asked about the NCAA and oregon, all he had to say was that he was concerned about his NFL lineup.
Former USC coach Pete Carroll says the NCAA justice system is 'just so out of whack. It's so obvious that it is. It's just a matter of, will somebody pursue it and go after it? This has been an institution that has operated under some level of respectable protection for so many years. That's not OK any more. They have to do something about it.

FIGHT ON PETE! Excellent read.
Join the fight for YOUR liberty!
There's just no one like Pete.
For me, this quote sums up what a lot of Trojans I know, felt in the midst of the NCAA bulldozing its way into Heritage Hall:
"We didn't know anything (about the NCAA's investigative process). I hadn't talked to those guys in years. We hadn't heard from those guys. They never talked to us. It was around three and a half to four years before I heard from them. People were like, 'Why weren't you in the know of what has happening?' It's because they never talked to us. We didn't know what to do about it."
Fight On, Pete!
How can Emmret (or however you spell his name) sit back and feel that all of the open investigations weren't similarly tainted? I mean, when a cop is caught planting evidence, doesn't the justice system review all of his prior investigations to make sure he or she didn't plant evidence in those prior cases as well?
THIS IS FRIGGIN ABSURD!
This guy, Emmret, is a piss poor leader. For him to claim that there couldn't possibly be a problem with the previous cases (or even with the Miami case) is total bullshit.
Because OUR university presidents allow him to do it. This starts with Max Nikias, Donna Shalala, and the rest of them.
Pete is the MAN.
The ncaa is the reason Pete will never coach at the college level again. IMO. They don't want student athletes to have fun, and having fun is the only way Pete knows how to coach. I wish Pete would have just said a big F You to them.

Help A Better LA bring peace to the South LA community. Are you in?
Why do you believe the NCAA doesn't want student athletes to have fun? How do you believe the institution came to that position?
Freedom through Vigilance
Exhibit A: THE RIDICULOUS "good sportsmanship" rules the NCAA has enforced over the last few years. Takes the fun right out of it. Kid can't celebrate when he makes a big play? Give me a break. It's barely football.
Edit: I wish I knew how they came to that position.

As misguided as the rule changes have been, I am of the belief that the NCAA's goals were in line with stopping some of the taunting that is hated by the people that make the college football world work....the older folks with deep pockets. This is also tied to making the focus of the on field action centered around the teams, rather than individuals primping and posing after every play.
If one is going to be honest, it's hard to believe that the NCAA actually has anything against students athletes having fun.
Don't forget that it ends there, as well.
