Still earning your stars Kenny ...
Nice to see you ...
Right now, we are tracking 73 kids on scholarship entering Fall Camp, provided no one transfers (in or out) or no one is kicked off the team. But, last time I checked, aren't we allowed to carry 25 walk-on players? Walk-On players aren't junk.
Hell, Will Andrew was on scholarship in 2011. Negrete was a Walk-On in 2011, and was our starting punter. Tony Burnett earned a schollie. We also have some really decent Freshmen walk-ons in Ryan Dillard, Elijah Steen, Christian Tober and the aforementioned Will Andrew.
My point is that we won't be practicing with just 73. We'll be practicing with 98 (73+25). (Plus I don't know the practice rules for Reserve Walk-Ons, so it could actually be more than 98). Not every school in D1 uses all 85 of their scholarship spots. So, we're not as under-manned as it really seems.
Now, when we get season-ending injuries to players like Kennard, Madden, Starr and Wilson, then that's where it really starts to hurt. But, you cannot predict injuries. Better to practice hard, so you play hard than be a soft team that gets pushed around.
In the press conference Lane said we had something like 11 season ending injuries (through the course of the season, obvs.). I suppose we should take that into account in looking at last year, and in planning for next year.
............that's all! FIGHT ON !!!
Feelings get hurt, best not to have any!
Much like this one I suppose...
Some of my favourite extracts from Igor Stravinsky's masterpiece, "Le Sacre du Printemps" (part 1, The Adoration of Earth). Played by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Charles Mackerras. Please enjoy.
Or maybe they're more like this...
Umless your name is George Farmer and then they seem to be a rite of getting out of bed in the morning
Cheao shot I know, but he has no bigger supporter here than me
Well, maybe Scott
Hope he can stay healthy this coming season, way too much talent to be riding the pine
Made me laugh on that one Blem ... thanks ...
I like the second one better ... got me fired up ... great drums ...
Edit: I forgot this rite of spring ... I love starfish ...
