during his presser right now.
Just heard that on his pressure and I got a big smile on my face . Like he said. LEts get back to playing Physical!!
Best news I've heard all day
I think it's better than skating around the injury issue and becoming a team that doesn't know how to wrap up to be honest. I would rather lose a couple of guys and have backups that know the proper way to tackle, then have starters who whiff 8/10 times....

and if we loose a couple of people then so be it.....competition Tuesday again? I like what I am hearing
REMEMBER THIS when 2 or 3 star players miss the season/some games. Because you know damn well everyone is going to be complaining about how we shouldn't tackle in practice.
EDIT: To clarify my position I've been an advocate of tackling and developing ALL players (i.e. 1's against 3's and 2's against 4's in practice instead of making kids sit there and pick daisy's). I'm simply pointing out that people are going to have a meltdown the first time a star player gets hurt. Same way they sing the praises of Bigelow, Browne, Powell, Rodgers, etc but then complain we tried to sign too many out of state players.

Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
Logical move ... will improve the defense
No tackling not working so well .. there can be a balance found in time allotted for contact without going overboard.
Having said that your point is well made.
I remember the criticism of Pete when guys got hurt in his practices.
See my edit
Yeah .. predictable ...
Moderation with the contact, none is a failure in Lane's first and third year.
Could the moderate contact in the second year have been the difference in the second and third season?
I believe so ...
Injuries took their toll big time in the 2006 Rose Bowl. But without the hard practice we probably wouldn't have gotten there. Point taken.
Move on means FIGHT ON!
