staying committed to Oregon and ucla,Yikes! I can see Johnny ripping up the conference in that crazy basketball on grass offense, and Breslin giving our young OT pure hell at the Rose Bowl next month. Thank You Coach O for taking Breslin away from the weasel.
We didn't take him away ... he was always a Trojan.
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
I think Manziell knew he was going to sit behind Marcus Mariota and so do I
Manziel is high risk, high reward player and I think Mariota is overall, a better fit for the Oregon offense
In fact I would be less worried about playing Oregon if Manziel was their QB because I think you can rattle Manziel into mistakes and I havent seen anything from Marcus to lead me to believe he can be rattled at all
Good point. On top of that Manziel looks better (maybe) because he is asked to do more. MM has better QBR, YPC, more passing TDs, and less INTS.
Come on now, Johnny is being asked to do more, but he is a much better QB.His running skills is off the the hook and tailor made for the oregon offense.
I like Marcus better
Doesnt matter anyway
Manziel has played much better competition so far. Mariota might be faster straight line speed but manziel is a lot more shifty and quicker in the pocket. Both are good but i would definatly rather face mariota than manziel.
Didn't he have a turnover at the beginning of the ASU game and then nearly another soon after? That was also his first real road game, so he hasn't had a lot of opportunities to be rattled
And he played horribly in the second half of those games
Mariota has played a bunch of blind kids so far. Has manziel looked average at times yeah but let him play oregons schedule so far and the kid is the heisman front runner.
That's like blaming the first turnover in the Utah game on Barkley
Best or near best D Lineman in the conference comes in unblocked and hits him as he us setting his feet
And yeah, he was so rattled he went 80 yards pretty much the next time he touched the ball on a ball fake that was so good that he had 65,000 people chearing a hit in the backfield on a RB that didnt have the ball.
I fail to see what Manziel would have done to make that offense better than what it is when they are pulling their starters at halftime
My point wasn't that Manziel is better than him. My point is that he's played bad competition on a very good team, with only one real road game, and so hasn't had much of a chance to be rattled. That's all
Not worth arguing about
