Is free tutoring available for all scholarship athletes only? Or for walk-ons too?
Didn't I read that the new McKay center had a study hall or such? with tutors available anytime?
These questions are for my great nephew who is thinking USC for golf.
Move on means FIGHT ON!
This is from memory going back to the early 90s: SAAS is available for all student athletes. Scholarship athletes were REQUIRED to attend "study table" a certain number of hours per week. Tutoring was available for most subjects for walk-ons and scholarship athletes. You had to request help, then make an appointment Hope this helps....

This was also the case in the early 2000s. I'm certain that it is basically the same today.
Most of the tutoring happened in the basement of the Galen Center back then, but it sounds like it is now in McKay at the Stevens Academic Center.

Fight On! Leave No Doubt.
There's also a lot of help in The Writing Center and elsewhere that is open to all students but very accessible and a really great resource that is underused.
Still at the McKay center and student tutoring is there and available. If you are assigned you MUST be there and if you miss have a good reason why. If you don't you will be doing extra curriculum exercising with Coach O. Yikes!

The McKay center has a big room with desks and computers, plenty of other study areas, and many tutoring offices.
