Since he's been at SC, who has he hired and fired?
He officially hired Frank Cruz as the school's full-time men's baseball coach. The athletic department has experienced great success under his direction (sans Football, Baseball and Basketball of course), so his job has been easier than most.
I could have sworn that I read somewhere that Haden was on the committee that approved Kiffin's hiring back in 2010. Scott, can you confirm this?
IIRC Cruz was already running the team, right?
He fired Kreuter really quickly when he came in, then gave the job to Cruz on an interim basis, and extended him a couple years. Pretty sure his contract is up after this year.
An equipment manager?
He hired the women's lacrosse coach, Lindsey Munday. No joke, she came with a really strong resume as an OC/Recruiter from a Northwestern team that won 3 straight NCs and played in a 4th in a row.
What were Kreuter's flaws, as opposed to Kiffin and CKO?
Hahaha...in football? Pretty sure Tino is still with the FB team, lol

Haden was a member of the Board of Trustees is my recollection, but I was told had little or nothing to do with Kiffin being hired. That said, my info. comes from a Garrett confidant.
Kreuter didn't win at all and didn't have any sort of a college background. His whole hiring didn't really make sense. A lot of people might say he got the job because he was Mike Gillespie's son-in-law, but he was the replacement when Gillespie was fired, so that itself was a really weird situation. But also, SC doesn't put much money into it's baseball program, so it's a lot easier to fire a guy like Kreuter because he wasn't making anything.
I'm not sure what's so funny about that. We've 4-peated in Men's Water Polo and Men's Tennis. Last year, we played in the Nation Championship Game in Men's Volleyball and Women's Volleyball, came in second place at the NCAA's in Women's Golf, reached the final four in Women's Volleyball and women's Tennis. Both swim teams have done very well the last 2 years. Last year, we even scored more points than stanford in the director's cup in the spring semester, which is almost unheard of. This year, Men's Water Polo is undefeated headed into the post season next week.
