Let me start off by saying I am not here to troll. I thought the game was the most exciting game I have seen since last years game. This game USC showed why they were pre-season #1. If USC plays every game at 80% of the level they played today they would have been 8-0 coming into this game and still #1.
I know many will look back at the numbers given up by both defenses but lets be real here. Oregon may have the best offense ever to step on a college football field. Secondly, USC has the best QB and 2 WR receiver combo every to play in the PAC. We don't even have to talk about Algahor yet. Oregon played their best game of the year on offense and it took every bit of that to hold on to a lead with USC. After this game I can honestly say that Marquise Lee is the most dominant player in college football. The only thing that came to mind was Lebron James. I know most of you are in Lakers land so maybe not the biggest compliment but he is just on a whole other level compared to everyone else on the field. I can't see him not going top 3 after his Junior year.
Anyway, I will be rooting for USC the rest of the way and we need USC back in Eugene for the Conference title game. It is good for the PAC and it is good for college football. Best of luck the rest of the year and kick Notre Dame's arse!
It sucks that it takes a Duck fan to actually see the game for what it was...my Duck friends up here all texted me to let me know they think the CCG will be epic...and even closer

Fuc@ off. All the shit you talk on your board and you wanna come over here
Well said Nasty. Agreed. Those are the top-2 offenses in the nation.
For the record, Nasty is a good level-headed poster. Do we have some idiots? Of course. Nasty's not one of 'em though.
this is where oregon fans start pretending like we are any good, so they can will themselves into the bcs championship on the basis of strength of schedule
Great Game Ducks. You guys have a future with Mariota, a clear upgrade over Thomas. Your RB isn't too shabby either. I'm going to enjoy seeing him be selected in the draft. He absolute killed us today. See you in Eugene for the Conference title game.
First off GREAT GAME. I was on the edge of my couch/standing just about the entire time. Barkley had some great deep balls and of course the combo of Lee and Woods is dynamic.
Second, you guys are good.
Finally, shouldn't we as a conference be pumped about the success of the teams in our conference? I know it sucks to lose. I was at the game last year when you beat us in our house and that was the most frustrating thing ever for me. So with that being said, if we are to go undefeated shouldn't you want us to go on to play and win the BCS? I know I would be hoping that for you guys.
Great game, keep winning and throttle Notre Dame. See you in Eugene in a couple of weeks because I think you will still be there.
Not sure why you would think that way. This was widely considered the best Defensive team Oregon has had in almost 20 years. S&P had them ranked the 2nd best in the nation behind Bama. We couldn't stop USC and gave up a ton of yards and points. I don't understand why USC has a lost a single game outside of this one. It took a perfect offensive perfomance from Oregon to win. I think USC can beat anyone in the nation on any Saturday. Not sure why they aren't getting the on field results.
You guys played a great game, but I can't see myself rooting for Oregon. If it ends up Oregon v. Alabama, I think most SC fans will be pulling for Alabama. Just the way it works. That being said, you guys still need to beat us in Eugene. Looking forward to it.
Great game Trojans!
Wow! USC was on top of shit tonight. That is a top 5 team if I've ever seen it... really sorry that SC lost to Arizona and 'Furd because that is a NC caliber team. Lee is fricking unbelievable.
Good to know. I guess I hang out with waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy to many SEC fans here in Napa. Because I know every single one of them would be rooting against me regardless of rivalry.
Way to represent, Dickwad.
No way. That's only because you haven't faced any real offenses until today.
Great offense. Average defense...at best.
Arizona? Held them to a goose egg. When our starters were in the game we were dominating. Almost 75% of the opponents scores came against 2nd and 3rd stringers.
fUCLA's up on 'em 42-3 at HT and have 'held' their offense to 83 total yds.
Thus far this year, they're soon to be 0-3 on the road.
How about listing all those balanced offenses you've faced thus far to make such a claim?
Not trying to rag on you, but your D is vastly overrated IMO.
Perhaps it is. I still think we have a solid defense but not nearly as good as I thought it was.
When USC plays with the intensity it did tonight they are a top five offense.
Luckily for Oregon we won't face an offense like that against anyone else.
I think you'll be seeing it again in a few weeks.
USC 2013-2014 All Sports Head-to-Head Record: 236-103-2 (0.695)
My USC Football Attendance Streak (Home and Away): 48
Thanks and great post!
Congrats on the win tonight. Mariota and Barner were unreal.
GG definitely, and I hope to meet again in the CCG.
I thought this was the third conference loss for the Trojans. Don't they need other teams to lose in order to make it to Eugene?
If UCLA beats Zona and we beat ASU and UCLA then I believe we could be your worst nightmare ...
Arizona would own the tie-breaker if it came down to USC and Arizona, but since Arizona is about to lose tonight they are going to have 4 conference losses - compared to USC's 3. If we beat ASU and UCLA, we'll have the best conference record in the south. UCLA could come in with just 2 losses, but obviously if we hand them their 3rd and we're still at 3 (assuming we beat ASU), then we would own the tie-breaker.
If SC plays like they did tonight in every game they run the table and we meet them in the CCG. Unfortunately SC doesn't play the same way week after week so who knows what will happen.
I think something clicked for USC tonight even for the D ... stay tuned ..
