In the USC situation-If a kid thinks he can play the "hard to get" game, he may find out the hard facts that USC needs solid commitments from kids who want to be Trojans.
if you do not lock in a spot, it will be "next".
+1. I agree.
By the way, what are you hearing in Alabama regarding A'Shawn Robinson? I believe he's currently on a Bama visit.
Spots are limited for this class. Any commit should only take visits to SC IMO (for this class)
Problem is, you can never guarantee a kid is 100% commited until he signs his Letter of Intent
Another thing is that when you recruit at this level, there are some kids that you have to battle for, because they are worth it.
His name was not mentioned by my close source.
In fact, i do not believe he is in this weekend, but i will confirm and get back to our board
And sometimes when the sign the LOI they are not 100% (e.g.Seantrel Henderson)...
Robinson is in Tuscaloosa on his visit.
His name has not been mentioned --either way.
Liner,Bell and Reuben Foster are sure bets to commit to Alabama
Adams looks like he will end up at Auburn, but no one can figure out why
Point? With sanctions, they were kind to let him out.

I can gue$$
Did you ever notice how men always leave the toilet seat up?
That's the joke.
In order to compete against a modern lion you've to "straight cash homie"!We need auburn to be good again.
I honestly do not care what they do around here. My posts pertain to anything that may affect our potential recruits/commits.
I am 35 minutes from Auburn and two-hours from Tuscaloosa.
That said, i am a text , tweet or phone call away from some very reliable eyes and ears who are at the venues.
It is a numbers game.
Liner, Bell, and Foster to Alabama would bring Bama's class to 24 players.
Hmmm, with 71 or 72 scholarship players returning +24 = 95 or 96 scholarship players.
Should be fun to watch as Saban "manages" his roster over the summer.
That's about 10 players Saban will have to force out again this year.
People that still don't think over signing is advantage, this is a prime example of it if the Tide signs
Liner, Bell, and Foster those 3 will be 3 of the top 5 recruits in their class.
Meanwhile look at Stanford. They are in the same situation as Alabama with 70+ returning scholarship
players. But Stanford is only going to bring in a class of about 15 to stay at the 85 limit.
The hypocrisy on tBB about the Fitts situation is a joke, but then even some of USC's own fans
are critcizing the Fitts situation. Imagine how crazy the negative media attention would be on USC if Kiffin
was pulling a Saban and booting 6-8 scholarship players every year.
Alabama is not in one of the largest media markets in the world so I would guess alot of what goes on in Alabama stays in Alabama, thank goodness!!
Plus How many National Championships does Saban have??? I would assume if Kiffin was as successful with his top recruiting classes as Saban, he wouldnt be questioned either.
I would say until NSD day alot of recruits and coaches are gonna have numerous sleepness nights.
So are you saying you would be ok with SC oversigning every year and then kicking 6-10 players off the team because the coaches poorly evaluated some players and now want to give that scholarship to a better player to make up for their own mistake.
To each his own I guess, but IMO there is no integrity in running a program that way.
I'd rather do things the right way.
Word from my source is:
They will bring in 25-26 with one gray shirt. Del Rio will pay his own way and walk on.
I am not saying it is a good or bad thing. But until the rules change its not gonna change. There is so much money in D1 football and a produce NOW attitude I think some coaches are recruiting players based on rankings. At least if the kid was a wash, they can say damn, he was one of the top at his position. And if you dont think rankings matter just look at every athletic site and read the biography of their new recruits. Most mention their ranking.
Coaches should be able to evaluate talent but I am not sure all can. Kansas St for example has had some the worst recruiting classes ranking wise in the BIG12 the past few years yet they win?? So obviously that staff recruits what is best for their system and not what national scouting sites think.
