I was just told this from someone who has connections with the USC basketball program. Not what most of us wanted to hear.
Where, in Italy?
Dude is still a college "project".
I guess if we're lucky, we'll see him on a random D League game on NBA network sometime in the future and think "hey... didn't he play for SC".
Much worse than Davon Jefferson's decision.
is this a bad decision? Did anything get determined from his Washington bar thing? Maybe he wouldn't play for SC again anyways?
Maybe stirring the pot a bit, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's at least part of the decision.
If hb's info is accurate, this had better be the rationale for his decision. Otherwise he'll be a star in Israel.
I'd be shocked if someone didn't try him in the late 2nd, but, we all know what second-round means...

Man he is going to regret this if its not linked to the Washington incident. He has been developing but not near what he could be after his clock is up.
That was my initial thought as well....
yes I think it's still pending, and possibly along with his status at SC.
I don't think it's stirring the pot. That is the only reason that makes sense for him even thinking about going pro at this point.
Just completed redshirt Jr year, so in effect that is senior year in school? Asking because he's not on the Early Entrant list for NBA draft. Too late for that.
confirmed via usc athletics twitter. good call hb

Unless he's been thrown off the team (and IF - huge if - the allegations are true I damn sure hope he was) this is a stupid move on his part. CAE is a development coach with a style of offense that completely suits his play. Everyone wins if he were to stay - but as of today - he has a miniscule chance, at best, of signing in the NBA.
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
Yup. Kid is raw and needed coaching up. He's hardly played much basketball. Even if he sat for half a season because of the Washinton State incident, it would still have been worth him coming back for the coaching. So with Blazsychzxq going too, that only leaves Oraby as a big man?
“Close tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share,” Reagan vowed.
Not sure where I read it but I have also seen Oraby as a possible defector.
JT Terrell is also having some grade issues. Next year might be a hell of a rebuild job for CAE and company.
Oraby would certainly benefit from staying. He's not going to be wanting for minutes. As for Terrell, come on, dude! Great opportunity to build on a second half of a season where he got better as he went along.
