True or False
If we would have signed both players, we have 1, maybe 2 more Championships?? Not only were they elite recievers, but they improve our specisl teams big time.
I heard we were the favorites to sign bith, what happened with their recruitments??
Such old news man. Let's forget about it. They're long gone and in the pros now. They chose to go somewhere else. I recall hearing chatter about Jackson being mad because Patick Turner was being recruited and he was getting #1. Sounds foolish to me, but whatever. Don't remember any details about Harvin. Blah....
I believe Harvin especially wins us a championship. He was a game changer.
I believe Desean instead of Turner easily wins us some of those UCLA 13-9, Oregon State 36-33 games we lost that kept us out of the championship.

This isn't a true or false question. There is no way to know what would have happened.
The down votes for this thread is pretty funny though.
Harvin was a cancer and Florida. Florida player complained about how urbin Meyer let harvin get away with absolute childish behavior.
Hmmmm, that sounds eerily familiar to what was happening at Cal. Anyone think it's just coincidence that they shared the same number in college?

The whole team was out of control because Urban didn't enforce a damn thing. But the difference between DeSean and Percy was that Percy could change a game by himself and carry a team on his back, both in the passing game and in in the backfield. Like them or not, he and Tebow were both all-time great players in CFB. DeSean was great on returns but extremely inconsistent in the receiving game; Lavelle Hawkins did way more to hurt USC than DeSean ever did.
So, to answer the question, Percy maybe because he was that good. DeSean, no. And neither would have helped against UCLA as much as LenDale coming back to school would have. No chance in hell we lose both of Oregon State and UCLA if he's running the ball. The receivers weren't the issue in either game, it was the lack of a running game.
USC has one vacated BCS championship, but it's crazy how close Carroll's teams came to winning six between 2003 and 2008. When you look at the teams that thwarted USC's chances each time, and the scores of those games, it's clear that USC had enough talent stocked to win all of those games. When were the Trojans not favored? USC's losses to UCLA in '06, Stanford in '07, and Oregon St. in '08 were not because of talent issues.
One of the arguments that used to drive me crazy was that SC would have beaten Texas had Lofa returned. It drove me crazy because SC should have won that game regardless. Trojans had the talent to win it but shot themselves in the foot numerous times.
That said, yes, I think USC wins another championship with DeSean, and another with Brian Price. Forget Percy.
Are those the same players who are wearing BCS Championship rings he helped them win?
Yes, that is the same alcoholic, pot head, that was escorted back to his apartment every other night by the local Mayberry Police Department.
