@ JPTrojan, What about Troy Smith- Ohio St. Heisman Trophy QB?
This post was edited by V4VICTORY 2 years ago
Holy chit !!!
Someone will pick him; far too much talent and on field production for someone not to at least take a flier on him.
Whether he actually makes it past training camp is another matter entirely.
Burfict is a mad man, but totally uncontrollable.

If that is true, he'd have probably been a much more natural,"FIT" at uCLA.
I am predicting the Baltimore Ravens draft him in the 5th round. Ray Lewis will mentor him.
Aaron Rodgers was the worst I've ever seen. Consensus #1, unanimous top 5 went #24.
Hope that doesn't happen to Matt....on the other hand, he could go to a better team.
I felt really bad for Aaron at the time - sitting in that green room, but look who's laughing now, lol.
"Here are provided seats of meditative joy, where shall rise again the destined reign of Troy." Virgil
This kid will get drafted but not anywhere close to a first round. It is a sad situation that his inability to control his behavior and his inability to take advantage of any education afforded to him in lieu of trying to get to the pros as his long term goal is a fail. I do hope he makes it rather than being on the streets with nothing. All of this unfulfilled promise that was not realized with this kid. Too bad. Hopefully, he will get some good mentoring in the Pros.
Mentor... or kill him. I can't imagine Ray putting up with too much bull shit, and VB is just dumb enought to pull some bull shit.
Saint Barkley probably could have turned him around.
nm, wrong thread

His was pretty straight forward. Too short. Burfict has been an all around disaster.
Still first round though. Brady Quinn was worse than Rodgers to me becuase they kept cutting to him and his girlfriend looking miserable in the green room.
Burfict was supposed to be the consensus top linebacker. Now he is looking like a day 3 pick. That is a serious fall.

And it's not because of a physical injury, failed drug test, or uncovered medical condition.
It's 100% because he's flippin' crazy, appears to be lazy, and in a league that should be enamored with his upside, teams are deciding he just isn't worth it.
There might be others that have fallen, but his has to be one of the worst...
Worse than Pee-Wee Hermans drop?
I remember Ben Rothlisberger dropping big time.
To 11th? Not exactly.
He was the 3rd QB taken that year.
You're right... I thought I remembered him dropping big time.
That was a "small" drop
...of his pants in a movie theater.
Burfick is clearly experiencing a drop of Milli-Vanilli proportions.
I'm still confused how a guy this weak and slow received the pub that he did in college? Was he so good that his measurables didn't matter, or did the hype make him a legend of sorts?
I don't think he was that slow or weak during his peak playing performance. I have heard the ASU team basically quit on Erickson towards then end and and stopped working out in November/December....combined with his poor self discipline, and I'd say he's just out of shape.
