Former 5-star WR Markeith Ambles has signed with the Univ of Houston, per source. Ambles arrives at UH this summer
Houston has to worry about two headcase WRs in Ambles and Greenberry
It's the weed capital of the world. Long dreads. Girls with hairy armpits. Where there's hippies, there's weed - Oregon Duck Reuben Droughns
True... but with even a decent QB, that offense could light up almost any defense they play. And they do have their starting QB returning, so who knows? Maybe Ambles will get it together.
Happy for the kid
Hope he takes full advantage of this opportunity
"If this was a prize fight they'd call it off"- F ND!
Yeay!! Go Cougs!
Best of luck from the Trogans
I gotta admire this kid a whole bunch
How many with similar stories have given up and fallen by the wayside?
Hell, he could have given up in High School
Totally respect him, and I believe he has the tools to be at least a 3rd round pick
I know Patrick Hall has had injury issues, but like Ambles, he has had academic/disciplinary issues too. Anyone know what Hall is up to? Another similarity between Hall and Ambles is both were 5-stars.
I remember Ambles had a reception his true freshman year in the opener against Hawaii (his only reception of the year?). Not sure why he didn't get much playing time beyond that - though Woods breaking out probably had something to do with it - but I've wondered what type of impact he would have had if awarded more playing time.
Last time I heard about Hall was last year during the spring and he was trying to make a comeback to the team. No idea what he's doing now but he's definitely not a student here.
Last I heard he was trying to get on a FCS school maybe Weber State
Kid got hurt in the first ten minutes of his first USC scrimmage before he was officialy even cleared to play or registered for classes
One of the saddest stories of recent Trojan football
He had all the talent in the world

I hope he is able to get it together and turn things around. It is really up to him.
Bill, Patrick Hall, tore his knee up fielding a punt without contact before parctice was even under way...during warm ups...I was there when it happened. Total freak accident where his knee just gave out. Then the following year I believe he tore the other one(?) may have been the same knee. Regardless, I doubt that he'll ever play at a high level again.
It was the opposite knee the second time.
Hall was a 5 star talent. What happened to him is a total shame.
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
Only memory of Hall was watching the video where he line up in a 40dash against the alleged fastest kid on the west coast Randall Carroll. I think it was at one of the AA games. 30 yards in Hall was already slowing up so Carroll could catch up, I guess he wanted to make sure Carroll could hear him talk mess. It was pretty bad ass.
Yep...could have played safety or RB.
I wanted to prove he couldnt play corner before he did anything ekse
