Tony Bland decision is not coming today, as he'll sit down with SDSU head coach Steve Fisher tomorrow morning to let him know his selection. Scott Sommer (@scottsommer21) April 9, 2013
I think the sit down could go either way. I accepted a counter-offer to stay at my current job, and I wanted my boss to be the first non-family member to know, so I arranged office-time with him alone. I think it's the respectful thing to do either way.
This also worries me. After just going through a process of picking an offer with more money or sticking with what was comfortable and where my heart wanted, the heart won in the end.
That being said, fingers crossed =)
Bland has also been removed from the SDSU Phone book (Yes he was previously listed)

Hope you're right L.
FIGHT ON! FOREVER!
So...you think SD has a counter offer that is anywhere close to what USC is offering? I'm hearing up to triple what he is earning now, plus a coaching promotion?
Any employer worth his salt would encourage a good employee to move on and up when you can't come close to offering that employee what he is being offered elsewhere.
You wish him/her good luck, thank him for his service, and tell him/her he'd be foolish to turn the position down.
That is some CIA shit!
Maybe he has an unlisted number?
