And if so, who are they?
"Expected" to start? I would say only Ramsey. Others, like Cravens and Bigelow and LM3 and Davis will certainly be given very opportunity to compete. But JR plays a position of huge need.

and chris hawkins will have something to say about that.
others that may start:
ty isaac (Fullback(all purpose back) a la marcus allen)
others too i'm sure...

I don't see Rodgers as a starter right now. Although he may earn a rotation spot while Nico may RS.
I think Jalen+Chris will both play alongside Seymour. Chris in Nickel maybe.
LM3 and Su'a will see the field...don't know if they start day one, but by mid-season one or both of them may take over, same goes for Bigelow.
JD and Ty will both get their shot I think.
Outside of that, I don't really see too much field time from the new guys.
I don't expect any of the true frosh to start, but I think Ramsey and Cravens have a chance to be starters. Outside shot for Hawkins and LM3 as well.
I think Vanderdoes, Bigelow, Hutchings, Thomas and Davis could all be significant contributors (but not starters) in addition to the above.
jalen mothafuckin' ramsey. he is gonna tear shit up!
At present, Chris seems to have the edge on Jalen as far as coverage or lock down. Most of the recent footage on Jalen has him holding. Although, Jalen has the prototypical size and speed which can't be taught, but he needs to work on his technique. Chris has really worked on technique and it has shown at every camp he's been to - he has dominated.
This is absolutely no knock on JR and IMHO.
Even with a depth issue
USC does not have a depth issue
We lost our top three safeties (including McAllister). Su'a might start.
Su'a, Jalen, & Bigs!
Mitchell will be seeng playing time from day 1.
No way a defensive linemen comes in and starts.. Might be rotated in but not start. D line is gonna be our biggest strength
Why do you think there hasn't been tackling in practice?
USC has a lot of depth issues. To Lane's credit, we're getting closer and closer to the point where we have quality depth the way we did in the middle of the last decade.
Not saying he isn't extremely talented - but which older experienced player is he going to start over? He will be one of the most explosive players in the country when he sees the field - but it will take a couple years for him to get in front of the other most explosive players in the country in front of him.
Lee, Farmer, Agholor, Blackwell, Flournoy, Rodgers (who is older and will have spring practice) are all pretty darn special in their own right.
Cry Havoc; and let slip the dogs of war!
I guessed that Flourney might transfer like Brice Butler did. Will be interesting to see if he sticks around. I also presume Mitchell will play in the slot? If Agholor goes outside to Woods' position, that would free up someone to play WR3. Blackwell and Rogers seem more the types to work the sidelines than the inside.
“Close tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share,” Reagan vowed.
I think Agholor will play the slot.
But, you're right, that's feasible.
Interesting. So if Nelson stays in the slot, who do you think gets the nod opposite Lee on the other side?
Blackwell seems like more of a possession guy to have on te outside. Or we could go with a speedster in farmer or flourney
Ah, great point. If we run a 4-3 for a majority of the time I still don't see a true frosh starting. Maybe if we switch up to a 3-4 bigs can play de or another guy can play one of the rush backer spots.
We have not seen much yet, but you'd hope whoever emerges is in line for a lot of work. Would be great to see Farmer finally fulfill his potential.
I think the only offensive player that will see time as a freshman will be either Davis or Isaac, only one of the two, I think the other will redshirt. On defense though, if we run a 3-4 I feel by the last regular season game the depth chart will be:
DE: Leonard Williams/JR Tavai/(Fitts or Prevot or if we land either)
DT: George Uko/Antwaun Woods/Bigelow
LB: Kennard (I would have Kennard play the elephant type)/Ruffin
LB: Pullard/ Dawson
DB: Ramsey/Porn Harris/Henderson or Dillard
S: Su'a OR Shaw/McQuay
So by that accout, freshman seeing play time will be: Su'a, Ramsey, Bigelow, Hutchings, with McQuay and Hawkins seeing some but not as much right away. But I believe Hawkins will be a stud on D in a few years.
you don't seek the services of a specialist just to get a second oppion of a less known or less proven Dr. do you? point being you don't recruit a top player position of need only to sit them on scout team making your offense/defense better . In the new Afro world order of things the specialist will play period ! Afrolistically speaking get your Afros ready !
