I can't see us turning on this kid given how hard he has recruited for us.

I agree, why would we rescind an offer to someone who is a proud Trojan, book smart, and great athlete.

These kids want to go through the experience. As SS mentioned that his step-dad was quoted as saying "Priest is never going to experience it again." If the kids want to take all 5 official visits then let them and respect there wishes. We all know Hawkins is as committed as can be. As previous posters stated before Hawkins grew up an SC fan. In my opinion if there was one player I would be worried about taking the 5 official visits it would be Nico. He was quoted as saying that UCLA was going to recruit him even harder now that he is all SC. Respect these 17-18 year old wishes even if it's something that we may not like or agree with. If I was in his shoes I would do the same exact thing because it would give me an opportunity to see places I may not have the opportunity to see again. We'll be fine and Hawkins will stay as a Trojan!!!

The fan in me is always skeptical when it comes to visits. I've never liked them and probably never will. However I'm also very realistic and if I was 17 or hell even now, and someone wanted to fly me across the country and see the biggest games of the year on their dime Id be there in a heart beat. Really can't blame kids for taking them, they get one shot at this might as well take advantage.

Is there anyway we can thank Pio for spurning us and going for Washington? With him gone we have arguably one of the best defensive line commits in the nation right now along with the best defensive back commits =)

I understand where you come from rkinslow. Regardless of what ends up happening, we all trust the coaching staff. We know that this recruiting class isn't set in stone but I hope it does, because these players are phenomenal and I want to see all of them stay committed especially Hawkins.
