  • C. was just using a play on words, I doubt he was "cold blooded."

Anyway, good luck and heal well Amir!

USC is a powerful place that Lane Kiffin is ruining.

    Ha!

To be 100% honest, I didn't even think about the play on words.

  • Good luck on being ready for the season. I broke an "ankle" requiring surgery, and didn't feel 100% for a full year.

  • Never want to see anyone get hurt, the actions of the NCAA and Amir's father gave Carlisle a bad name.

Incredible roller-coaster for him, from substantial playing time at RB with a proven team. Then his father uproots him and has to prove himself at ND and he gets injured before his chance. His father forced him to move, and seemed to get some repercussion for it.

The NCAA continues to show lack of consistency and transparency while coming to case conclusions. Joshua Shaw should already have been accepted his transfer.

Wow...sorry to hear that. I assume it was on the more severe side of ankle breaks?

I would imagine there is a significant degree of variance in ankle injury recovery time...with a legitimate chance the person never gets back to 100%.

    Worst part about sports....sucks.

I have no ill feelings towards Amir. He seems like a good kid who is just being influences. Sad to hear this.

Now if anyone from the NCAA suffered this injury...whistling

  • I'm taking this as another sign that karma is breaking our way for the 2012 season. After everything we've gone through, we deserve a break.

Amir, you suck. Heal up quick now...we want to see you on the field badly this season.

If so, there would have been a massive person having a massive heart attack in Miami, and a large office going up in flames in Indianapolis.

Karma? For transferring schools because he didn't like USC/wanted to be closer to family?

I have had a problem with him transferring to our Rivals since it happened...I didn't like it,...If he wanted to be close to his family that's all good,...play at Purdue...he couldn't get much closer than that, but he chose to transfer to Notre Dame...Notre Dame!

I never (and never will) wish harm to come to any player that transfers, but I am not going to wish him luck...he quit on SC, he quit on our team...and joined the enemy, his choice, no one elses. I am not going to apologize for how I feel...and you are not going to make me feel guilty for feeling this way...

Amir was a good kid and hope he finds what he was looking for with or without his parents decision which it was all not. But Helen has a great point that he switched and not really for any true hardship reason so does that make him a transfer or quitter? May have to go with the rather.

Understood. IMO, he didn't "quit" per se. Notre Dame was one of his top schools coming out of high school and if he wanted to be closer to his family, a 2.5 hour drive from ND to Purdue is a hell of a lot closer (and cheaper) than a flight from L.A. That is a much more manageable trip each weekend (if necessary). Notre Dame is superior to Purdue both academically and athletically. Also, I've read he didn't enjoy himself at USC, so I can't fault him for leaving.

Unless there is more to the story that neither of us knows, I'm sure we are on the same page with the whole waiver being granted ordeal (which is that we both think he should be sitting this year, not able to play). But otherwise, as a guy whose family was in the Midwest while I was at USC, I can definitely relate to wanting to see family, but not being able to because of the distance. There were a few weekends it would have been nice to drive home, and I don't consider a 2.5 hour drive real long.

    Just my twocents

If he wanted to be closer to his family then why did he pick USC in the first place?
