If that is the primary reason, somebody in this kid's life is failing him.
It was instilled in me when I was 10 years old, that at such a young age any person outside of family should never dictate a vital decision like this.
Domer or not, I hope there are other unknown reasons.

Talked to one of my nd friends. Says now that Lynch is gone we beat them by 28!

This is a textbook case of why you don't want parents overly influencing their kids decisions in the recruiting process.
There was always tons of talk that Lynch's mom was the one who kept pushing ND on him - not surprising, given the brief decommit to FSU. Unfortunately, mom didn't go to school with him and the inevitable unhappiness reared it's head. hopefully he finds what he's looking for back home.
As for the Domers, Stephon Tuitt is going to have to step up in a big way to fill that void

I think he could get fired after this year, but if he squeezes out an 8-5 season, I think he is back. I'll predict 7-6 and him begging for his job.

He did not want to be there in the first place. Momma basically forced it. Should have let him stick with his FSU committment and none of this would have happened.

interesting comment. playing #1 usc at the coliseum while usc has momentum with incentive for playing in the NCG would seem to be the closest thing to a sure loss as has ever existed in notre dame's history. notre dame will probably be trying to lose on purpose to get kelly the fuck out of south bend

First Greenberry spurned them, then they only sign 17 for their 2012 class, then Shepard leaves, and now this. Also, there's no telling if Davonte Neal will even show up.

MSU has been as high as 7 in (early early early) preseason polls, ahead of Oklahoma and Michigan in a few, and ahead of ND in every one I've seen. We also get ND at home. We should be fairly heavy favorites by time the season rolls around.
