Talamaivao flips to USC

Talamaivao decommits from Alabama and commits to USC

LOS ANGELES, Calif. Corona Centennial elite OL Viane Talamaivao, committed to Alabama back on May 30 and took his official visit to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 8, but following an unofficial visit to USC this past weekend, the 247Sports Composite four-star prospect has flipped to the Trojans.

"I have been told that Viane has decommitted from Alabama and has committed to USC," Centennial head coach Matt Logan said. "It had to do with staying closer to family."

Talamaivao is close with a few USC commitments and targets, including Toa Lobendahn, Damien Mama, Ju Ju Smith and Malik Dorton which could help the Trojans recruiting efforts down the stretch.

He made his decision after USC defeated Stanford 20-17 in front of 93,000 at the Coliseum on Saturday.

A Top247 prospect, Talamaivao is ranked No. 90 in the 247Sports Composite and is a consensus Top 10 player from California for 2014. He's currently the Trojans highest rated pledge for this year's class which stands at 10 commitments.
