Elkton, (MD) OG Khaliel Rodgers (6-3, 310) from Eastern Christian Academy took an unofficial visit with teammates 2013 DT and USC commit Kenny Bigelow, and 2015 QB and USC commit David Sills about three months ago.
Sills had been committed since 7th grade, Bigelow committed during that visit and OG Khaliel Rodgers was offeres last month and committed to USC today.
"So blessed to be committed to USC," said Rodgers. "USC has always been a top school of mine, they should have a great season this year. Overall, they have a great program going on at USC. I just felt today was the day to become a Trojan. I love the school, the coaches, the people, the weather and the offensive system they run."
Committing to USC also provides Rodgers an opportunity to play with his best friend, Kenny Bigelow.
"We're really more than friends, we're brothers," said Rodgers. "We've wanted to play together in college for a long time."
Rodgers in commitment No. 12 for the Trojans and they could get No. 13 tonight if OT Nico Falah commits.
Rodgers said he's unsure if he'll take any official visits to other schools, but he and Bigelow will attend the USC vs Syracuse game at the Meadowlands on Sept. 8, and more than likely take their official visits when USC faces Oregon Nov. 3.
