Stockton (Calif.) RB Justin Davis (6-1, 200) from Lincoln High plans on making his decision on a school known on May 17, but he won't be announcing on television, nor in front of hundreds of people at his school and there will be no hat ceremony where he puts one of five hats.
"I am not having a formal announcement at my school or anything like that," Davis said. "I am just going to send out mass text messages to those in the media."
Quite a refreshing change of pace if you ask me.
Davis will be choosing among USC, California and Washington and he has visited all three schools multiple times.
Before Davis makes his decision known to the public, he anticipates coaches from the schools he's still considering to visit next week before he sends out the text messages to the media on Thursday.
USC is expected to visit Lincoln on May 16, the day before Davis's commitment is made public.
And there have been so many coaches who have stopped by Lincoln High School in recent weeks, Davis has lost track of how many.
"All I know is there have been a lot of coaches who have stopped by," Davis said.
