RB Amir Carlisle (6-0,195) from Kings Academy in Sunnyvale, Calif., committed to Stanford in late June, but opened up his recruitment a bit when he took an official visit to USC the weekend the Trojans defeated Virginia.
Since the visit to USC, Carlisle has been focused on his team's football season and he's racked up some impressive stats along the way.
On the season he has 125 carries for 1,298 yards (13.3 ypc) and 14 touchdowns. He also has two touchdown receptions.
Not until recently has Carlisle begun thinking about taking some more official visits, but it's unlikely he'll take the five he's allotted as he previously planned.
"I will officially visit Stanford at some point, I might take an official to Maryland (Father's alma mater) and an possibly an unofficial visit to USC," said Carlisle.
If Carlisle takes an unofficial visit to USC, it will either be Saturday (Oct. 30) when USC faces Oregon or the following weekend when the Trojans play Arizona State. And it would be his third visit to USC. He attended the Rising Stars Camp at USC in June and took an official visit on Sept. 11.
